UK Healthcare is the trading style of Bolton & District Hospital Saturday Council whose roots can be traced back to 1813.
By 1877 an organisation was set up to raise the huge sum of £70,000 needed to build a new infirmary to meet the ever-increasing needs of the town. To fund this planned new building and the dispensary the members of the scheme paid 1p a week from their wages on a Saturday and so as a result Bolton & District Hospital Saturday Council was born.
As one of the longest established health cash plan providers in the country, UK Healthcare now focuses primarily on providing market leading corporate healthcare Cash Plan schemes, all at a low cost which are extremely popular throughout a variety of sectors.
